Grilling season is here, and we’ve been testing new marinades and glazes for both meat and vegetables. This month we combined Blue Dragon Wasabi Plum Stir Fry Sauce with fresh lime juice to create a bright, flavorful marinade for grilled mushrooms. Skewered and grilled, these mushrooms make an easy, crowd-pleasing side dish.

This recipe is simple and quick to prepare.
Grilled Marinated Mushrooms
You’ll need
1 package Blue Dragon Wasabi Plum Stir Fry Sauce
Juice of 1 lime
Mushrooms (button or cremini work well)
Wooden skewers (soaked in water 30–60 minutes)
Directions
In a bowl, whisk together the Wasabi Plum stir fry sauce and the lime juice. The Wasabi Plum sauce adds a pleasant sweet-tart balance with just a hint of heat; if you prefer, you can experiment with other Blue Dragon stir fry sauces for different flavor profiles.
Thread the mushrooms onto the soaked skewers and brush or toss them with the marinade until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for one to two hours for more concentrated flavor. If you’re short on time you can grill them right away and they will still be delicious.

Preheat the grill and cook the mushroom skewers until tender and lightly charred, about 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally for even cooking.

You can add colorful bell peppers, onions, or cherry tomatoes to the skewers for variety and visual appeal. The sauce’s sweet and slightly tangy notes pair especially well with grilled steak, poultry, or as a standout vegetarian option alongside other sides.
