These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are fast and simple to prepare. Thinly sliced roast beef, sautéed onions and green peppers, and melted provolone are layered on soft Hawaiian rolls, brushed with a garlic-butter and Worcestershire glaze, then baked until golden and bubbly. They make an ideal weeknight dinner or a crowd-pleasing appetizer for game day.

Ingredients For Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 1½ lbs deli-sliced roast beef
- 10 tbsp butter (divided)
- ¾ cup yellow onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- ¾ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce (divided)
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
How To Make Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and position a rack in the middle. Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add diced onion, diced green pepper, salt, and black pepper. Sauté until softened and lightly browned, about 8–10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Keeping the roll cluster intact, slice the 12-pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, melt 8 tablespoons of butter and whisk in 1½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. Brush half of this butter mixture over the bottom layer of rolls.
- Layer the roast beef evenly across the rolls, then spread the cooked onions and peppers over the beef. Top with provolone slices, overlapping as needed to cover the surface.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the filling. Stir the remaining melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley, then brush it generously over the roll tops.
- Tightly cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake 5 more minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are lightly golden.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
If The Rolls Brown Too Quickly
If the tops begin to brown before the cheese has melted, keep the foil on for the entire bake time. If they still brown too fast, add 1 teaspoon of water to the pan and cover again — the steam will slow the browning.
Variations For Philly Sliders
- Add mushrooms: Sauté 4 ounces of sliced cremini or brown mushrooms with the onions and peppers.
- Change the cheese: Use a melted processed cheese (for example, a cheese sauce) poured over the onions and peppers for a creamy finish.
- Make it a pizza steak: Spread a thin layer of marinara on the bottom rolls, then add roast beef, onions, and peppers before topping with the rolls.
- Double the cheese: Add a layer of provolone on the bottom rolls, then another layer over the roast beef and vegetables for extra cheesiness.

What To Serve With Cheesesteak Sliders
