Have you tried the Grey Stuff? It’s delicious! This is a simple, crowd-pleasing recipe inspired by Beauty and the Beast—perfect for a Disney princess party or themed bridal shower.

The Grey Stuff - recipe from Beauty and the Beast for your Disney princess party. For a Disney Princess themed bridal shower I helped host, every dish reflected a different movie. My favorite was the Grey Stuff from Beauty and the Beast: a creamy, cookies-and-cream dessert finished with edible pearls for an elegant presentation.

This recipe is quick and easy. It combines instant pudding, crushed Oreo cookies and whipped cream to create a smooth, grey-hued dessert you can pipe into individual cups for a beautiful display. I used disposable dessert liners from craft stores and arranged the cups on a cupcake tower so guests could easily serve themselves.

Ingredients

  • 1 3.4 oz package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 15 Oreo cookies regular, not Double Stuf
  • 1 8 oz. tub whipped cream
  • 3 tablespoon instant chocolate pudding mix
  • edible pearls

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk. Refrigerate for 5–10 minutes to thicken slightly.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies to fine crumbs using a food processor, blender, or by placing them in a zipper bag and smashing with a rolling pin.
  3. Stir the crushed Oreos into the chilled vanilla pudding. Fold in the whipped cream, then stir in the instant chocolate pudding powder. The mixture should turn a pale grey color.
  4. Cover and chill the Grey Stuff in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set and meld the flavors.
  5. To serve, transfer the pudding to a piping bag or large zipper bag with a corner snipped off and pipe into individual dessert cups. Garnish with edible pearls for a whimsical finish.
